Please note that the conditions below only apply to tours organised directly by Focus on Israel. Where a tour uses a travel agent to organise flights, accommodation etc, booking conditions will vary.
For the purposes of these booking conditions the following definitions will apply: 'force majeure' is war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions; 'the Organiser' is Focus on Israel; 'the Client' is the person who has signed the booking form.
2. How to book
You can book your place on the FOI study tour online by visiting www.focus-on-israel.org and going to our tours page. Upon booking we ask for deposit of £200. Full payment of the balance must be made not less than 8 weeks (56 days) before departure. If the reservation is made within the 8 week (56 day) period, full payment must be made when sending the booking form. Focus on Israel reserves the right to cancel the tour if the balance is not paid by the due date for any reason. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Website:www.focus-on-israel.org
4. Alteration by the Client
If after confirmation of the booking the client wishes to alter the booking in any way Focus on Israel will do their utmost to make changes, provided written notification is received by their office from the person who signed the booking form. If the amendment can be carried out, a charge of £25 will be made, except where the amendment occurs within 42 days of departure where it will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and will be subject to the cancellation fees laid out under paragraph 5.
5. Cancellation by the Client
Once Focus on Israel have confirmed the booking if the client cancels for any reason prior to 6 weeks before departure, the deposit is forfeited. If the cancellation is nearer the departure date the charges are as outlined above. Cancellation will be from the date of receipt by Focus on Israel of the written request and the scale of charges will be payable depending on when the notification of cancellation is received. 6. Cancellation by Focus On Israel
Focus on Israel reserves the right to cancel the tour, accommodation or other arrangement if in the event the tour shown cannot be provided for any reason. If cancellation occurs the client will be advised at least 8 weeks before departure and Focus on Israel undertakes to offer alternative comparable arrangements, if available, or if these are unacceptable, a full refund of all monies paid. Focus on Israel will not cancel the tour within 8 weeks of departure unless it is as a result of circumstances amounting to 'force majeure' (in these circumstances the client's money will be refunded ), or as a result of non-payment of the balance by the due date (in these circumstances it will be treated as though the client has cancelled). If for reasons other than 'force majeure' or non-payment of the balance the tour is cancelled within 8 weeks of departure then compensation will be paid to the client as in the table shown in section 7.
7. Alteration by Focus On Israel
Focus on Israel reserves the right to alter the tour, accommodation or arrangement if in the event the tour shown cannot be provided for any reason. If a material alteration occurs, the client will be advised at least 14 days before departure and Focus on Israel undertakes to offer alternative comparable arrangements, if available, or of these are unacceptable, a full refund of all monies paid. Focus on Israel will not materially alter the tour within 14 days of departure unless it is as a result of circumstances amounting to 'force majeure'. If for reasons other than 'force majeure' the tour is materially altered within 8 weeks of departure, then compensation will be paid to the client in accordance with the table below. Material alteration does not include alterations to accommodation where this does not greatly affect the main content of the tour.

8. Disputes Procedure
In the unlikely event of a complaint whilst on tour the client must inform our local agent or team leader who will try to resolve the problem on the spot. If the complaint cannot be resolved there and then, the client must send a written account to reach Focus on Israel within 12 days of the end of the tour, in order that it can be investigated fully.
We welcome People of all ages to be a part of this experience, however, regardless of your age, we insist that you maintain a reasonable level of fitness. We must advise you that a number of sites can involve rough walking and exploring Jerusalem can at time mean climbing hills and steps.
PASSPORTS, VISAS AND VACCINATIONS
All participants are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport which has at least 6 months remaining on it after the date of travel, and a relevant visa (if required) for travel to Israel (Visas are not required for British Passport holders visiting Israel). At the time of printing this brochure no vaccinations or inoculations are required for travel but you may wish to consult your own doctor for advice concerning this. FURTHER INFORMATION AND PAYING THE BALANCE
Further information will be sent to you regarding any action that may be required approximately 12 weeks before departure. A final invoice will also be sent at this time and the balance for the tour must be paid at least 8 weeks before departure.
It is not Focus on Israel's policy to arrange flights to and from Israel, as we are not currently ATOL protected. For this reason it will be each participant's responsibility to arrange their own flights. However, We will provide all the relevant information that you will need to do this, including, dates, times, carrier and Airport. Transport from Tel Aviv Airport to Jerusalem will be provided for you and is included in our price.
We insist that all participants have a relevant travel insurance for this booking. Along with your final payment we will request a copy of the travel insurance certificate.
As we are using our own facilities and team members, we do not operate or insist on tipping. However, if you, following the experience, wish to give a donation for the work of Focus on Israel, it will be gratefully received.
The St. Paul's Centre in Jerusalem has a wonderful rustic charm about it and is steeped in architectural history, some of which, we have chosen to keep in place. Due to its layout, the bedrooms are of a dormitory style with most having three people sharing a room. However, they are all spacious, light, and comfortable. Our philosophy is not just about offering themed study programmes, we operate an expression of Community during our stay; and so, whoever visits the centre helps to keep the facility running smoothly (i.e washing up, tidying around and keeping the facility clean).
